I prefer to keep my reviews short but I can't guarantee them to be sweet. I don't mind discussing, analyzing, or raving but I'm just an inherently lazy writer/reviewer.

Quintana of Charyn - Melina Marchetta There's not much to say except that Mrs. Marchetta still earns her rightful place in my heart as an all-time favorite author. It's not even just the way she writes so straightforwardly or matter of factly... All her characters come to life and there's not one Mary-Sue in this book. There are so many strengths in each person but they are equally balanced out crippling or amazing 'weaknesses'. Her creations all play a significant role and never fade into the background. I love how she masterfully entwines every single character with each other in inexplicable ways. It's horrible how addicted I am with her stories and I'm so deeply invested in everyone's lives that I'm saddened that the end has come. Or has it?
