1984 - George Orwell, Erich Fromm Writing-wise, Brave New World triumphs as a greater literature masterpiece. However, 1984 has a better world building structure and it even starts out with a bang! Despite the overhanging despair that's ever present throughout the whole novel, 1984 still manages to maintain a slight sense of hope in the end. Now that is an amazing ability Orwell has to distort the reader's feelings into sympathizing with a partially useless character and even regaining faith in humanity.
