I prefer to keep my reviews short but I can't guarantee them to be sweet. I don't mind discussing, analyzing, or raving but I'm just an inherently lazy writer/reviewer.

I Am the Messenger - Markus Zusak Oh yes, this is my second encounter with Markus Zusak's genius and I have today, he never disappoints. Seeing that he tells a strange of an extra-ordinary plain guy named Ed, one would expect nothing. But he delivers the driest humor and the best dorky recollections to us. I love this book and all it's amazing occasional metaphors and even the weird ramblings. There were definitely 5-star worthy moments that made me laugh out loud and savor the words thoroughly. Of course this is nothing compared to The Book Thief but I didn't expect it to be since the premise and characters is far different from those in TBT. This is the kind of book that makes me wish I could write like that and create a flawed but adorkably lovable main character. I Am A Messenger is a strange but starkly fun standalone book that everyone who don't take themselves too seriously should read.
